How it wears

Put the jacket on while both are open, then fold them shut together. The inside spine is cut so it folds with the album instead of bunching. Outer edges stay open so the record still slides out.

Open the Gatefold Jacket sleeve with the spine facing you — 1 Open the Gatefold Jacket sleeve with the open spine facing you.

2 Slide the opened album through the open spine.

Stop when the album crease matches the opened spine — 3 Stop when the crease matches the opened spine.

Fold the album closed with the sleeve attached — 4 Fold it closed with the sleeve attached.

It started with a cabinet

My grandfather’s stereo. Headed for the curb. That’s what got me into vinyl — and why the jacket exists.

I was never really into vinyl until this. Once the records started piling up, the gap was obvious: nobody made a sleeve that covered the whole gatefold and still let you open the album to see the inside art.

That’s the problem Gatefold Jacket was built to solve. Wear the jacket, and the full gatefold experience isn’t the same.
