Eversolo DMP-A8 Gen 2 — and the Master Edition with CD

If you’ve been waiting for Eversolo to refresh the flagship all-in-one, this is it. The DMP-A8 Gen 2 series builds on the original A8 that put Eversolo on the map — streamer, high-end DAC, and real analog preamp in one chassis — with a cleaner industrial design, a larger touch UI, and stronger system features.

Official product update: the original DMP-A8 (Gen 1) has been discontinued. Units already sold continue to receive warranty support. I have one Gen 1 demo — under 10 hours, $1,649 — while it lasts.

There are two Gen 2 versions worth choosing between carefully:

1. DMP-A8 Gen 2 (standard — no CD)

The core Gen 2 machine: network streaming, local library, flagship-class DAC architecture, and a serious preamp section so you can drive amps directly. Ideal if you live in streaming + files and don’t need a disc drive in the same box.
